Sula & The Noise, with songs written and sung by Pulitzer-winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks, makes music with a distinctly Afro-Americana vibe.

Formed in 2016, they will make their Brooklyn debut on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at 7 p.m. at JACK (505 ½ Waverly Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11238 - C or G train to Clinton-Washington). Tickets: $10, available at www.jackny.org or cash only at the door.

Suzan-Lori Parks (vocals & guitar) aka "Sula," writes plays, movies, songs and stuff for TV. Has worked with folks from Oprah to Brad Pitt to Spike Lee. Awarded Pulitzer Prize, Tony Award, MacArthur "Genius" Grant and more.

Julian Rozzell Jr. (percussion, vocals) is an actor, musician and visual artist. He has acted in Suzan-Lori Parks' Father Comes Home From the Wars, directed by Jo Bonney (The Public), and, at The Signature, Death of the Last Black Man. . .

Christian Konopka (guitar) fled Germany in the 80s, deep up in it ever since. Plays guitars, pianos, basses, electronica - composes and records.
