Status Real Release 'Shottaz' Music Video

Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes presents the release of the "Shottaz" Music Video by Status Real, featuring Primo, Blacc C, and Kah05. This video was shot in Portland, OR and Tacoma, WA by Kind Cruelty and was edited by King Kahos.

Status Real born Marquis Henley on Oct. 19th, 1986 in Tacoma, WA, started writing poetry in the mid 90's. In the late 90's he transcended into a song-writer/ lyricist under the moniker (Trickyquis). In 2002, Status Real and King Kahos(3n1 Rekcordz) formed a rap group called Men of Business(M.O.B.). The group recorded a double disc album '04 entitled "Preserverance is Key", but due to the deaths of various members the group split and it was never released.

In 2007, Status Real linked up with Auraswon a fellow Tacoma lyricist, and began working with AudioDose Records. A Seattle based Independent Label owned by muti-talented J. Lee. While working with the label he was featured on multiple projects including various tracks on Canadian rapper Unlimited MC's debut and sophmore albums "The Key" & "Capital L" as well as AudioDose Present: SOulDOpe.

For the next few years Status Real traveled and performed at gigs around the country until making Minnesota his temporary homebase. While in the Midwest, he worked with several artists. Linked up with Rhymesayers Ent. And Pledge Empire Records two of the states most respected record labels. In 2013, Status Real ended the year with Pledge Empire Records on the "We're Already Signed 2 Tour" and relocated back to the NorthWest. In 2014, Coast2Coast Mixtapes featured Status on five different mixtapes. On August 18th he released his first solo project entitled "Reality Check". Currently Status Real is working on his next project "Million Dollar Dreams " which is due to be released summer 2015.
