YSL aka Yung Scoop Living is a 22-year-old native New Jersey rapper, songwriter, model and martial arts enthusiast.

Named "Scoop" as a child growing up in the foster care system. He chose to round out his name "Living" because his journey of losing his parents to drug addiction and friends to violence, "Living" was a choice he willed himself to make.

Born James Spivey in Newark and raised in Roselle, NJ, YSL started music through entering a talent show at his high school, Abraham Clark. Naughty by Nature, and Bob Sumner from Def Jam were the judges. After placing 2nd in the contest, he cut his teeth in the hip hop game in a group managed by Kobie Brown from Sony Records. After the group disbanded, YSL pursued music as a solo artist.

Although new in the music industry, YSL has worked with noted talent including Melky Jean (Wyclefs brother) producer Swinga America, Ahsan, Kobie Brown (Sony Records) and producer Sinical of EVO Entertainment.

Managed by Don Richardson, CEO/Starmaker Management, YSL is drawing much insider buzz. His hot new single "Point Em Out" is available for download on audiomack.com. The video will also be released this month.
