Spottiswoode & His Enemies release their sixth studio recording, English Dream on April 15, 2014 via Old Soul Records. Dubbed a "genius" and a "downtown ringleader" by the New Yorker, the British born Spottiswoode and his band of merry Enemies have drawn comparisons from Nick Cave and The National to Leonard Cohen, Serge Gainsbourg and Tom Waits. The music gives nod to 60's and 70's Brit Pop, Folk and the woozier side of Psychedelia in a style Jonathan Spottiswoode calls, Anglicana.

Spottiswoode & His Enemies will perform a NEW YORK CITY ALBUM RELEASE SHOW at JOE'S PUB TONIGHT, APRIL 17th.

Each song from English Dream has an accompanying video of the band in various period clothes performing in front of archive English film footage from different decades of the 20th century. The band will perform in front of these videos at the show. The first single is "No Time For Love", a piano led number delivered as a duo harmony that has a sixties retro vibe both in melody and sentiment.
