Ashley Raines & The New West Revue are set to release I'll Fight, a collection of cover songs, September 8th.

Americana songwriter Ashley Raines finds himself among familiar characters -- characters that populate his own recordings. He could easily inhabit these other writer's songs. Struggle, loss and acceptance are the driving forces behind I'll Fight. Stories about people that don't make it through but don't give up. Something that Raines has had to deal with throughout the challenges of his career. Raines takes his signature minimalistic approach and strips down Wilco, The Kinks and Willie Nelson in a convincing and original way.

Of the highlight track "All the Tired Horses" (Bob Dylan) Raines says, "It's the perfect embodiment and simplification of an entire career."

Ashley Raines sets out for a solo promotional tour on the West Coast on August 21st before returning to the studio in October to record his next original full-length album.

Catch Ashley Raines August 29th at the annual Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven Campout music festival in Pioneertown, CA at Pappy & Harriets.
