Accomplished singer-songwriter and actress Alison Sudol (A Fine Frenzy) has been tapped as a series regular on USA Network's six episode event series DIG, an action adventure drama from co-creators and executive producers Tim Kring ("Heroes") and Gideon Raff ("Homeland"). Sudol will play Emma Wilson, an American intern working on a dig site in Jerusalem. After befriending FBI Detective Peter Connelly (Isaacs), Emma shows him her current worksite, but what Peter finds at the dig site turns into much more than he bargained for. She joins previously announced stars Jason Isaacs ("Awake") and Anne Heche ("Save Me").

Sudol is perhaps best known for her music career, having achieved commercial success and critical acclaim as the front woman for the band A Fine Frenzy. Her television credits include a recurring role on the new series "Transparent" from Jill Soloway. Most recently, she appeared in the independent feature "Other People's Children." Additionally, Sudol is currently working on a new music project due out for release in early 2015. She is repped by Dave Fleming at Mosaic and Resolution.

DIG focuses on FBI detective Peter Connelly who is currently working in Jerusalem. While there, Connelly finds himself embroiled in a race to track down a religious artifact that could trigger an event that would change the course of history. During the search he becomes the suspect in a sensational murder. DIG, from Universal Cable Productions (UCP) and developed by Keshet, in association with executive producers Gail Berman and Gene Stein of Tecumseh Productions, will shoot in Jerusalem as well as other international locations.
