Showcase 61 Set for Palace Theatre, Featuring The New Breed, 6/13
The future of rock and roll has arrived and reveals itself through the music of four young up and coming stars who call themselves, The New Breed. Showcase 61 at Stamford's Palace Theatre on June 13th at 8 PM will feature the teen band in the intimate, club-like setting UpStage @ The Palace. The host for the evening will be Stamford's own Rosarii Falvey from Crescendo Productions.
"A major part of the Showcase 61 programming is intended to be aspirational. We want other teenagers practicing their instruments and songwriting to know that there is something to work toward," said series curator and Palace Board Member Meredith DiMenna. "Rosarii and other teachers in the region are working with so many talented young musicians right here in our own community who need a performance platform to show what they can do. Showcase 61 is the perfect home for them. The New Breed is a unique combination of exceptional talent, hard work, and dedication. They will absolutely blow you away!"
With a fusion of pop, rock and blues, The New Breed brings a youthful, energetic and infectious new sound that is filled with emotion and intent. The band is made up of 12 year old singer and song writer Nicky Dylan on guitar and lead vocals, 11 year old Brandon Niederauer on lead guitar and vocals, 13 year old Dylan Niederauer on bass guitar and vocals, and 14 year old Henry Thomas on drums. Brandon is already becoming well-known as a formidable axe-man, sitting in with an impressive list of heavy hitters including The Allman Brothers, Jon Batiste, Bill Kreutzmann, Col. Bruce Hampton, Dumpstaphunk, and Robert Randolph, among many others. Formed in 2014, The New Breed plays original songs influenced by a blend of music spanning across musical genres loved by all. The show will take place UPSTAGE @ The Palace Theatre in Stamford.
