Sarah McLachlan to Play Benedum Center in February

Multi-platinum and Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Sarah McLachlan announced today that she will kick off the second leg of her North America "Shine On Tour" on February 27, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas. The 24-city trek will visit major venues and cities across the country. Tickets for some cities go on sale Friday, November 14, 2014. In Pittsburgh, tickets for the Wednesday, March 11, 2015 performance at the Benedum Center will go on sale on Friday, November 14, 2014, at 10:00 a.m., and will be available at www.TrustArts.org, by calling 412-456-6666, or in person at Theater Square Box Office, 655 Penn Avenue.

McLachlan's "Shine On Tour", which launched last June, has visited over 40 cities in North America to widespread critical acclaim. The Orange County Register described her performance at The Greek in Los Angeles as "a captivating 2 1/2-hour set" while The Vancouver Sun called McLachlan "breathtaking." McLachlan's unparalleled ability to craft finely tuned lyrics has led to an enduring career as one of the most beloved artists of the past two decades. On her latest album "Shine On," The New York Times said "her songs materialize in grand resonant spaces" and People Magazine said McLachlan "still sounds like an angel." Verve Records will put out a remix of "Monsters" which the Boston Globe calls "one of the album's best songs." "Monsters" will be available on iTunes on November 17.

Prior to the tour kicking off in February, McLachlan has dates planned at the O2 Arena in London on December 4 for the International Spirit of Women Awards. She will also perform for Los Angeles public radio station KCSN's annual benefit concert on December 5 and the Y98 Mistletoe Show in St. Charles, MO on December 6. McLachlan will also visit Australia for the first time in five years in early February for five sold-out shows, with a sixth show in Melbourne.
