SWEET SOUNDS - TWO SCHOOLS IN CONCERT Showcases Local Students at Hershey Area Playhouse Today

For the first time in more than 15 years, musicians from Hershey High School and Milton Hershey High School will share the stage for Sweet Sounds -- Two Schools in Concert, today, November 15, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Hershey Area Playhouse.

Milton Hershey School's New Horizons vocal group, directed by Cristal Sheaffer, will perform selected Broadway and popular tunes including "Seize the Day" and "Candy Man/Great American Chocolate Bar," a tribute to Milton S. Hershey.

The Milton Hershey School Guitar Ensemble, directed by Randy Rhoades, will perform songs from The Beatles to The Police and other popular contemporary groups. The Hershey High School string ensemble, under the direction of Greg Woodbridge, will also share favorite musical selections. All three groups will together perform "Christmas on Broadway" and "Feliz Navidad" for the finale.

Ticket prices are $15 for adults and $10 for children under 13 and all students with student ID. Proceeds from the concert will benefit Hershey Area Playhouse.
