Upstate NY electro-rock trio Jimkata have premiered "Jumping Out of Airplanes" exclusively with Popwrapped. The captivating visual stars Hamilton actress Carleigh Bettiol and is featured on the band's fourth LP In Motion released in February. Click below to watch the music video!

Billboard, The Music Ninja, Nerdist, Indie Shuffleand more have all praised In Motion, the band's first release as a trio and second successful fan-funded campaign. Jimkata's triumphant mix of swirling analog synths, breezy hooks and emotionally charged narratives have been compared to Yeasayer, St. Lucia, Peter Gabriel and Broken Bells and are heightened during the band's bright, psychedelic and elaborate live productions.

Inspired in song and concept by the idea of 'perpetual motion', "Jumping Out of Airplanes" is an emotive wake-up call to take risks. Bettiol joins an impassioned collective of dancers in lighting up gorgeous locations across the world. Bettiol is a long-time friend of the band -- Evan Friedell (vocals/guitar), Aaron Gorsch (synths) andPacky Lunn (drums) -- and the video doubles as an inspiring coming-of-age story for the four Ithaca-based performers chasing their dreams.

Jimkata -- which, yes, is named after the so-bad-it's-good 1985 gym-fu caper Gymkata--continues its critically acclaimed run across the US, including an opening slot for X Ambassadors in its hometown of Ithaca, NY., next month. See below for an up-to-date run of US appearances. Tickets on sale now.
