Rapper turned singer/songwriter, Solomon, is defining genre jumping by easily switching from a top rated rap/dance artist to a singer-songwriter with meaningful pop lyrics and melodies. Reinventing himself once again, Solomon proves he was meant for this genre with his heartfelt lyrics and catchy tunes. Titled "The Way We Were," the song will be released internationally on iTunes today, July 2nd. The song, which is a play on the 1973 Sydney Pollack film of the same title, features interpolations from the film, will also be featured on Rdio's New Music Weekly page. Solomon's last single, "Life Goes On..." spent 3 months on the front page of iTunes Dance and flew to the number one spot in Germany and Denmark.

After leaving Europe to promote his last single and attending London Fashion Week, Solomon has been spreading the word throughout the online music scene after releasing the cover art for the single. The artwork marks the first time the artist has decided to use a impressionistic painting, instead of photos of himself. "When I was in Paris, on my down time I had the chance to go to art galleries and museums," Solomon explains. "Reconnecting myself with art definitely inspired my decision to go this direction for my visuals this year."

Just last week, Solomon debuted a video on WTBQ Spotlight Radio Blog where he explains the concept and meaning of the song. Check out the video here: http://wtbqspotlight.com/blog/. Solomon will be sure to give his fans more with his artsy lyric video debuting shortly after the single which will be hosted on VEVO.

Alongside the release of his new single, Solomon has been keeping busy in the studio preparing for the release of his debut album, Why Boy's Cry. Working with Lady GaGa's mix master, Chew Fu, along with other selective producers, Solomon's goal is to blend music, art and technology as he prepares his debut album. Why Boy's Cry is set to release later this fall.
