"It blends idealism and cynicism, love and loss, in equal measure. At its best, as on the mesmerizing "Reason With Me," it matches the intensity and drive of her acclaimed 1987 debut album, "The Lion and the Cobra." -The New York Times
The "me" on How About I Be Me (And You Be You)? is primarily O'Connor's apocalyptic siren of yore, crooning and snarling her way through an enchanting collection teeming with well-crafted hooks and fiery passion..."- Billboard
