Billboard.com reports that Robert Redford will present Barbra Streisand with the 2015 Sherry Lansing Leadership Award at The Hollywood Reporter's 2015 Women in Entertainment breakfast. The star-studded event will take place on December 9th at LA's Milk Studios.

The presentation will mark a reunion for Redford and Streisand, who co-starred in the 1973 classic The Way We Were, directed by Sydney Pollack.

Commented Janice Min, co-president and chief creative officer of Guggenheim Media's Entertainment Group, "When Robert Redford and Barbra Streisand appeared together on the big screen four decades ago, the world witnessed a moment that was larger than life. Now, as we honor a career characterized by BOUNDLESS talent, brilliant risk-taking, and unstinting generosity, there could be no better person to present Barbra Streisand with the 2015 Sherry Lansing Leadership Award than Robert Redford, an actor who is the embodiment artistic dedication and cinematic achievement."

The Sherry Lansing Leadership Award, which recognizes creative innovators as pioneers in their industries, has previously been given to Oprah Winfrey, Jane Fonda, Meryl Streep and Shonda Rhimes. Commenting about this year's recipient, former CEO of Paramount Pictures and first female Hollywood studio head Sherry Lansing said, "Hearing that Barbra had agreed to accept the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award was both humbling and exhilarating. Barbra's remarkable professional achievements and philanthropic generosity have greatly inspired me and hundreds of millions of people worldwide. The Hollywood Reporter could not have chosen a more deserving individual to recognize than Barbra."

The Women in Entertainment breakfast coincides with the publication of The Hollywood Reporter's annual Women in Entertainment: Power 100 list.

A Renaissance woman of her time, Barbra Streisand has been acknowledged as a director, writer, producer, composer, designer, activist, and philanthropist. The "actress who sings," as Streisand once described herself, received an Honorary Doctorate in Arts and Humanities from Brandeis University in 1995, as well as an Honorary Doctorate in Philosophy from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2013. Barbra Streisand is a rare honoree, the only artist to earn Oscar, Tony, Emmy, Grammy, Directors Guild of America, Golden Globe, and Peabody awards, as well as receiving Kennedy Center Honors (2008) and the American Film Institute's Life Achievement Award (2001.) She also received the National Endowment for the Arts medal from President Bill Clinton and France's greatest recognition, the Légion d'Honneur, from French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

Her latest album, "Partners" debuted at #1 on the Billboard sales charts, making her the only performer to have achieved Number One albums in six consecutive decades. Barbra Streisand is the best-selling female recording artist ever.
