Revive Big Band featuring Savion Glover will perform at the Highline Ballroom tonight, June 16 at 8pm.

As part of the Blue Note Jazz Festival, Revive Big Band packs a punch unlike any other, uniting generations of like-minded musicians through a new era of music. Formed in 2010 by composer, arranger, and trumpeter Igmar Thomas, the group's musical styles, experience, and tastes range widely among the collective of musicians, but carries on within the tradition of big bands.

Revive Big Band's repertoire features original compositions by Thomas, as well as inventive orchestrations of selected beats from legendary producers, notable hip-hop tracks and original jazz records, all re-imagined and arranged into unique works.

As a special guest on June 16, Savion Glover, best known for his unmatched tap dancing skills as showcased in the hit Broadway show, "Bring in 'Da Noise, Bring in 'Da Funk," will perform alongside the band for an night of high-energy entertainment.
