KRONOS at 40 presents Red Hot + FELA LIVE! (world premiere), featuring Tony Allen and Superhuman Happiness, with Baloji, Abena Koomson, Kronos Quartet, Sahr Ngaujah, Sinkane and Kalmia Traver (of Rubblebucket), tonight, July 24, at 7:30pm as part of Lincoln Center Out of Doors. at the Damrosch Park Bandshell.

With: Musical Director: Stuart Bogie and Superhuman Happiness: Music from How to Survive a Plague (world premiere).

Kicking off the evening is the concert premiere of music from the haunting electro-acoustic score of the Oscar-nominated documentary How to Survive a Plague, composed by Superhuman Happiness's Luke O'Malley and Stuart Bogie.

The defiant spirit and groove-heavy music of Nigerian firebrand Fela Anikulapo Kuti lives on as Afrobeat icon and Fela's master drummer Tony Allen teams up with the cinematic dance rockers of Superhuman Happiness (which unites members of Antibalas, tUnE-yArDs, and Iron and Wine) and stars of the next generation of Afrofuturist innovators.

Red Hot + FELA LIVE! is produced in association with Anthony Demby and Paul Heck for the Red Hot Organization.

KRONOS at 40 is presented in association with Kronos Performing Arts Association, a non-profit organization.
