Rayna Campbell's LAPSE OF HONOUR to Screen at LA's Pan African Film Festival

LAPSE OF HONOUR was created by Rayna Campbell and has not only been making its mark in the film world, it stars some familiar British faces including Gary McDonald (EastEnders), Tom Collins (Waterloo Road), Lady Leshurr (English rapper) and Louis Emerick (Brookside). Now this exciting British film will next be shown at the Pan African Film Festival in LA.

LAPSE OF HONOUR is set in a tough part of Manchester where drugs and gangs rule. Tom (Tom Collins) and Eve (Lady Leshurr) are head over heels in love and studying at college with the goal of getting into University in another city to escape their abusive parents but when Eve discovers she's pregnant, this changes the course of their lives forever.

Director Rayna Campbell wrote and produced the script and is no stranger to film and TV herself as this talented writer is also an actress who is known for British prime time favourites such as Casualty, Waterloo Road and Scott and Bailey as well as playing the lead role in the Award winning feature Film Layla Fourie opposite August Diehl (Inglorious Bastards).

The cast includes Tom Collins (Tom) who began his career in Waterloo Road and in the Universal Pictures feature The Knife that Killed Me. Lady Leshurr (Eve), who is a well known rapper, recently nominated for a MOBO award and whose recent hit Queens's Speech 4 garnered over 30 million views on You Tube has worked with the likes of Snoop Dog, Basement Jacks and was recently featured in Rolling Stone Magazine as The artist to watch in 2016. Louis Emerick (Bruce), a much loved British actor who is best known for his character Mick Johnston in the long running Liverpool set soap Brookside and Gary McDonald (Razor), whose first notable TV role was as series regular in the well loved British soap Eastenders, as well as films like Young Soul Rebels, Shooting Stars and Mike Leigh's Oscar nominated film Secrets and Lies.

The film has been selected for numerous festival included Film London's London Screenings in The BREAKTHROUGH section, Avvantura Film Festival in Croatia, The British Urban Film Festival, Dinard Film Festival and British Film Week at Le Grand Logis in Bruz, where it is in competition alongside film greats such as 45 Years, Dough, Kill your Friends and Legend.
