Raue Center For The Arts is proud to welcome Livingston Taylor at 8 p.m. on March 12, 2016. Taylor's impressive 40-year career has encompassed performance, songwriting and teaching.

Born in Boston and raised in North Carolina, Taylor is the fourth child in a very musical family that includes Alex, James, Kate and Hugh. Taylor picked up his first guitar at age 13 and recorded his first album at age 18. Over the years, he has continued to create well-crafted, introspective and original songs that have earned him listeners worldwide.

From Top 40 hits "I Will Be in Love with You" and "I'll Come Running," to "I Can Dream of You" and "Boatman," both recorded by his brother James, Taylor's creative output has continued unabated. His musical knowledge has inspired a varied repertoire and he is equally at home with a range of musical genres-folk, pop, gospel and jazz-and from upbeat storytelling to touching ballads.

Livingston's latest album, "Blue Sky," was released in the spring of 2014. It is the third in a series of albums released over the last decade that includes "There You Are Again" and "Last Alaska Moon." "Blue Sky" completes a body of work that makes it clear that Taylor is not slowing down.

Tickets start at $23 and can be purchased online at rauecenter.org or via the Box Office at 815.356.9212 or 26 N. Williams Street in downtown Crystal Lake.
