Pub Sing held Sunday, December 11, 2011 from 7 to 10 PM at Bar Four, 444 7th Ave (corner of 15th Street), Brooklyn, NY 11215.

Do you like to sing? Play an instrument? Listen? Party? Come for an evening of informal acoustic participatory music. Bring your voice, an instrument, friends, family, and good cheer. During the short days and long nights of winter, let’s drive away the darkness. Not a concert, all are welcome to participate, bring a song, a poem, a recitation, especially things in which others can participate, songs with choruses are especially welcome. Celebrate the Solstice season and the turning of the year – the warmth of community against the coming winter. Probably a lot of English Pub and seasonal songs will be heard, but all kinds of are welcome. Acoustic instruments are welcome, and tunes as well as songs will be gladly received. Listen, take a turn leading a song, play a tune, sing along on the chorus, request a song, or just relax over Bar Four’s selection of food and drinks.

The Folk Music Society of New York, Inc. (The Pinewoods Folk Music Club) is now 46 years old and hosts concerts and informal participatory music for music lovers who can relax and listen, sing along on the chorus, play a tune, lead a song, or dance in the aisles to the best of traditional music.
