Taylor Mac's 1830s concert on Monday, Nov 5th has been changed (due to Sandy) to an updated version of his solo, "The Be(A)st of Taylor Mac", which will incorporate election eve mayhem, the Hurricane, new material, the passing of a kidney stone, and a deconstruction of the adage, "The Show Must Go On".

Bridget Everett is a singing tour de force known for her funny yet gut-wrenching, outrageous and unpredictable performance work. She’s been dubbed “Wynona Judd meets Melissa Etheridge, via the local bar floozy, on a rocket ship out of Twin Peaks” by Michael Musto from the Village Voice. She has appeared frequently on Time Out New York’s annual list of top cabaret performers, ranking number one in 2010 on a list which included Alan Cumming and Elaine Stritch. Bridget has performed at Montreal’s Just for Laughs, New York Comedy Festival, HBO’s Aspen United States Comedy Arts Festival and the Adelaide International Cabaret Festival in Adelaide, Australia. She played Lynn Chenney in Taylor Mac’s Red Tide Blooming at P.S.122, was featured in Scott Wittman's production Jukebox Jackie, and was a regular on Logo’s Jeffrey Cole Casserole. She can also be seen as Cathy in the Sex and the City movie and as Shonda in the CBS hit comedy, 2 Broke Girls.

A Kaddish for Bernie Madoff is a new one-woman show by Brooklyn-based poet, composer, performer, and Torah scholar Alicia Jo Rabins about the spiritual implications of the financial collapse. Performed by Rabins on violin and voice through a range of looping pedals and processors - along with a live band - this musical essay traces a year of obsession with Bernie Madoff to investigate the intersection of mysticism and finance, the inevitability of cycles, and the true meaning of wealth. Alicia Jo Rabins is the creator, songwriter and bandleader of Girls in Trouble, an art-pop song cycle in the voices of obscure women from the Torah. Rabins tours internationally with Girls in Trouble and has released two critically acclaimed albums on Jdub Records.

Grammy Award-winning spoken word artist and punk icon Henry Rollins will bring his The Long March tour to New York City, stopping at Joe’s Pub at The Public for five nights. Rollins’ Joe’s Pub run will kick off the third North American leg of an international tour. The Long March tour began in the UK in January and has already included over 115 shows on four continents. The Long March is filled with interesting anecdotes and Rollins’ timely commentary on the state of the nation informed by his world travels and life experience. With the first New York date just days after November 6th, Joe’s Pub audiences will have the unique privilege of hearing Rollin’s fresh and exciting commentary with the outcome of the election still on our minds. Audiences will be captivated by Rollins’ charismatic stage presence and unique perspectives on the direction we are heading in as a country.

Davis Rogan draws his musical inspiration from Professor Longhair and Fats Domino, as does every New Orleans Rhythm and Blues piano player. What separates Davis is his lyrics. The quick wit, rapid-fire wordplay, and the wry observations about life, humanity, and New Orleans could come from no one else. Though he is truly inimitable, Davis provided the inspiration for the character of Davis McAlary on the critically acclaimed HBO series "Treme." He has also written a number of original songs to the show, in addition to serving as a consultant and writer.

DeLeon uses their own distinctive style of rock to transform ancient Sephardic folk music into a sound that is both brand new and centuries old.. By re-imagining these ancient melodies as contemporary pieces, DeLeon has given the world at large a unique chance to experience the deeply mysterious and entrancing cadences of the ancient Sephardic tradition, and to do it while dancing. They've released two albums on JDub Records (DeLeon, Casata) and have toured the US, England, Canada and Mexico with other like-minded bands such as Gogol Bordello, Os Mutantes, Ozomatli and Balkan Beat Box.

Making Up the Truth is the new solo show from Peabody Award-winning journalist and This American Life regular Jack Hitt, featuring Hitt's singular wit told through extravagant, almost unbelievable, true tales-from his childhood neighbor's sex change operation, to his NYC apartment super with a deadly secret identity. Making Up the Truth weaves these and other stories together with the latest findings in contemporary brain science as Jack tries to answer the question, "Why do these things always happen to me?" What he discovers is not dry theory but another unbelievable story-this time about all of us and the world of uncanny wonders that lies just beyond our brain's notice. This evening will feature special guest Nick Thompson, editor at the New Yorker.

Elliott Sharp is an American multi-instrumentalist, composer, and performer. A central figure in the avant-garde and experimental music scene in New York City for over 30 years, Elliott Sharp has released over eighty-five recordings ranging from orchestral music to blues, jazz, noise, no wave rock, and techno music. He leads the projects Carbon and Orchestra Carbon, Tectonics, and Terraplane and has pioneered ways of applying fractal geometry, chaos theory, and genetic metaphors to musical composition and interaction. His collaborators have included Radio-Sinfonie Frankfurt; pop singer Debbie Harry; Ensemble Modern; Qawwali singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan; Kronos String Quartet; Ensemble Resonanz; cello innovator Frances Marie Uitti; blues legends Hubert Sumlin and Pops Staples; pipa virtuoso Min-Xiao Feng; jazz greats Jack deJohnette, Oliver Lake, and Sonny Sharrock; multimedia artists Christian Marclay and Pierre Huyghe; and Bachir Attar, leader of the Master Musicians Of Jajouka. Sharp is the subject of a new documentary "Doing The Don't" by filmmaker Bert Shapiro.
