Phillip Phillips Becomes First IDOL Winner to Top 2 Million in Sales

USA Today reports that Phillip Phillips has become the first AMERICAN IDOL champion to sell more than two million in sales. His hit single 'Home'  sold 81,000 downloads last week alone, according to Nielsen SoundScan. That brings its release-to-date sales to 2.08 million. Previous IDOL winners Kelly Clarkson and David Cook both sold more than a million copies of their debut  singles.

Phillips will sing the national anthem at the first game of the World Series tonight. His debut album, The World From the Side of the Moon, is set to be released on November 19th from t Entertainment/Interscope Records.
