Parisian Pop Songstress Cocovan Releases New Single 'Summer Nights'

Multi-talented French glam pop artist Cocovan is prepping the release of her electric new single "Summer Nights". This energetic track is an all around firestorm, with bright pulsing synths dancing around funky, fluid baselines. The prancing rhythm is anchored by a driving kick and snapping snare, as well as Latin percussion hits peppered in there for good measure. Not to be outdone, Coco's sweet vocal styling shines, and tells a tale of "nostalgia and bittersweetness" as she so aptly puts it herself. This "post-summer song" is as meaningful as it is danceable, as Coco explains, "It's about that feeling when summer is over and you get back to "real life', when reality catches up. It's about innocence, and how everything is so magical in the beginning of a relationship - but how social norms and self doubt can get in the way of blissfulness."

"Summer Nights" is not simply an mp3 file, but an event. Coco herself coins it as a "multi media art project". To coincide with the release of the new single, Coco will also release a karaoke-style video. Artfully minimalistic, the video oozes elegance and romance, as the artist wistfully plucks white petals from a rose in front of a deep navy backdrop. Ever the multifaceted artist, Coco took this beautiful scene to the streets of London and Los Angeles in an exhibition she refers to as "street performance art". This ability to incorporate multiple methods of expression is what separates Cocovan from her peers.

After taking a yearlong hiatus, during which she removed all of her old material from the Internet, and releasing one introductory single, "Chic", Cocovan is back with a vengeance with her dance-floor filling new hit "Summer Nights".
