As BroadwayWorld previously announced, Broadway producer Dede Harris has optioned the music catalogue of Diane Warren, one of the most popular and successful contemporary songwriters of our time, to create a new musical for the Broadway stage.

Grammy and Golden Globe Award-winner and six-time Academy Award nominee Diane Warren is the first songwriter in the history of Billboard to have seven hits, all by different artists, on the singles chart at the same time. She is known globally for platinum-selling songs performed by legends like Elton John, Beyonce, Tina Turner, Barbra Streisand, Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion Aerosmith, Ricky Martin, Faith Hill, Celine Dion, Mary J. Blige, Carrie Underwood Britney Spears, Jennifer Hudson and LeAnn Rimes among many others. Her more than 100 Top Ten hits include the platinum-selling “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing,” “If I Could Turn Back Time,” “How Do I Live”, “Un-break My Heart”, “Because You Loved Me” and many more.
