The charming and whimsical PERFECT CATCH: A THROWMANTIC COMEDY returns to Canal Park Playhouse! PERFECT CATCH is the February's perfect Valentine, "a delight for attendees of all ages!" (Backstage) Audiences from 3 to 103 will fall in love with PERFECT CATCH!

Performers Jen Slaw and Michael Karas have performed together with the Little Orchestra Society at Lincoln Center, an American Express corporate conference in Orlando and at Victorian Gardens in Central Park. Separately, Jen recently appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman, where Letterman declared, "Her dexterity and alacrity of juggling behind her back impressed me enough to say I believe that was something." Michael twice won First Place at the famed Apollo Theatre competition. He placed second in their "Super Top Dog" competition, the Apollo's annual season finale.

Part of Canal Park Playhouse's Matinee/Brunch series, brunch at the theater's Waffle Iron Café is available before and after the show. The brunch menu includes hot-off-the-waffle-iron spinach, mushroom, and smoked chicken sausage frittatas; French toast; and Traditional Belgian Waffles with pure Vermont maple syrup and butter, as well as the house specialty The Playhouse Pink Waffle (a pink waffle with strawberries and whipped cream) and the chocoholic fantasy the Decadent Dark Chocolate Waffle. Entree salads and waffle-branded sliders are also available.

Michael Karas (creator/performer) is an international award-winning juggler with over 10 years of experience in the variety arts/theater industry. Recently, he was honored to perform at the White House in the fall of 2010. He appeared with co-star Jen Slaw at Lincoln Center in 2010 and 2011 in conjunction with The Little Orchestra. Michael has three 1st place awards from the International Juggling Association and has appeared on the cover of JUGGLE magazine. He has toured and appeared off-Broadway with The Flying Karamazov Brothers and was a part of the 2010 NYC International Fringe Festival with Playing By Air. In addition to Perfect Catch, Michael has directed and co-directed three other theatrical juggling shows: Green, Adytum, and Playing By Air. When he's not appearing in variety shows all over New York City, Michael also finds time for outreach, teaching children how to juggle through the Big Apple Circus' "Family Fun Fest" on Governor's Island.

Performing since 1991, Jen Slaw (creator/performer) is a recipient of the International Jugglers' Association's (IJA) Three Ball Award for creativity and innovation. She's juggled with actor Patrick Dempsey on Good Morning America and taught Captain "Sully" Sullenberger to juggle at the award-winning Miracle on the Hudson Reunion event. She was a featured speaker at the 2011 TEDx conference in Princeton, NJ, and designs custom presentations and interactive workshops that use juggling to inspire and illustrate creativity, teamwork, balance, achievement, productivity, and being open to new possibilities. Jen has entertained audiences of all ages for a variety of corporate, educational, and private clients including FAO Schwarz, NYC Fashion Week, and Cirque du Soleil. She is a regular at Monday Night Magic, New York's longest running Off-Broadway magic show. As a performer, she's appeared at Joe's Pub (Magic in the Park), La MaMa (Variety Night), HERE Arts Center (Parallel Exit's Move It) and BAM (with Bindlestiff Family Cirkus). In 2010, Jen was named Executive Director of Jiggling Life Inc,, a New Jersey based non-profit with a mission to engage, inspire, and emotionally heal ill and underprivileged children through juggling workshops and entertaining performance art shows.
