OutKast Joins Arcade Fire & Muse To Headline Coachella 2014
According to MTV.com, Outkast has reunited to join the stellar lineup at Coachella this year. The hip-hop duo will join Muse and Arcade Fire as this year's festival headliners, confirming months of rumors that Andre 3000 and Big Boi would use Coachella to reunite and finally give the fans what they want.
The duo is one of the most successful hip-hop groups of all time, having received six Grammy Awards. Over 25 million copies have been sold of OutKast's eight releases: five studio albums, a greatest hits release, and the Grammy Award-winning (for Album of the Year) Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, a double album containing a solo album from each member. But since the release of Idlewild, Outkast has been on a hiatus and rumors of discontent between the rappers surfaced and many fans feared that Outkast would dissolve completely.
But the festival is not all about Outkast you know. Some of 2013's biggest stars will perform including including Pharrell, indie pop darling Lorde, MGMT, Zedd, girl-power group Haim, EDM super producer Calvin Harris, Disclosure and Lana Del Rey. Ellie Goulding, A$AP Ferg, Bastille, Sleigh Bells, Dillon Francis, Girl Talk and Neutral Milk Hotel will also perform, among many others.
Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will take place over two weekends: April 11 to April 13 and April 18 to April 20. Festival passes for both weekends go on sale Friday, January 10 at 10 a.m. PST.
