One Direction are gearing up to release their highly anticipated second album TAKE ME HOME on Tuesday November 13. Fans can stream the album in its entirety a week early beginning Monday November 5, exclusively on the iTunes store www.iTunes.com/OneDirection. TAKE ME HOME includes the history making #1 single "Live While We're Young," which sold over 341k copies in its first week, making it Billboard's biggest opening week sales for a single by a non-US artist ever.
Earlier this year One Direction made history with their debut album UP ALL NIGHT becoming the first-ever UK band to debut at No. 1 on the US Billboard album chart. UP ALL NIGHT has since been certified platinum and is currently the top selling debut album of 2012. This has been an incredible year for One Direction with UP ALL NIGHT reaching #1 in 17 countries. One Direction have also received three American Music Award nominations for New Artist Of The Year, Favorite Album and Favorite Band. These nominations add to the astonishing 3 MTV Video Music Award and 3 Teen Choice Award wins.
TAKE ME HOME sees One Direction collaborating with a whole host of first class writers and producers, once again reuniting the band with Rami Yacoub, Carl Falk, Savan Kotecha, Ed Sheeran and McFly's Tom Fletcher. Other collaborators include Dr Luke, Shellback and Toby Gad, with the boys co-writing several tracks. One Direction have sold out tours across the UK, US, Australia and New Zealand, and will make a special appearance at New York's Madison Square Garden on December 3. One Direction's live DVD "UP ALL NIGHT: THE LIVE TOUR" has also been an amazing success, reaching No.1 in 27 different countries and has been No. 1 in the US since its May 2012 release. In Spring 2013, One Direction will begin their sold out World Tour in the UK, which includes a massive nine shows at London's O2 Arena. The US leg kicks off in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on June 13, 2013.
In a morning television first, One Direction will return to NBC's the Today Show plaza where viewers will be treated to two days of outdoor concerts on November 13 and 14. They'll perform tracks from their new album TAKE ME HOME as well as their debut album UP ALL NIGHT. Fans will get a sneak peek of One Direction when they perform on The XFACTOR on November 8. Ellen Degeneres will serve as host to the highly anticipated BRING1D2US LA event on November 9 and will air performances from the event on her show the following week.
