Oaktopia Festival Unveils First Round of Music Lineup

Oaktopia Music & Art Festival (Oaktopia), North Texas' premiere independent music and entertainment event, today unveiled the first round of its music lineup. Headliners will include the chart-topping hip hop duo Rae Sremmurd, indie rock band Dr. Dog and critically acclaimed indie pop duo Best Coast, among others.

Earning the distinction of being the Best Festival of 2015 by the Dallas Observer, Oaktopia is a three-day music, art and cultural festival held in the heart of Downtown Denton, Texas. Beginning on September 22, 2016, Oaktopia is a three-day festival that will present a strong and diverse lineup of some of the most celebrated music artists on various stages. "Oaktopia represents the very best of what the music landscape has to offer," said Matt Battaglia, founder of Oaktopia. General Admission 3-day tickets are available for $85; 1-Day tickets are available for $50; and VIP 3-day tickets are available for $200.

Last year, thousands of fans - some from as far as New Zealand - flocked to the streets of Downtown Denton for the all-ages music and cultural experience. This year's event will build upon last year's festival, giving visitors even more wonderful art installations, fantastical street performances and inspirational learning sessions.
