New Celtic Woman EMERALD: MUSICAL GEMS DVD, Filmed at the Morris Center, to Air on WNIT, 3/10 & 15

South Bend, IN -- The new Celtic Woman "Emerald: Musical Gems" DVD scheduled to be aired during upcoming PBS television specials was filmed at the Morris Performing Arts Center, South Bend, Indiana. The show is scheduled to air on the South Bend PBS station, WNIT Channel 34, during the station's pledge drive on Monday, March 10, 2014, from 8:00-10:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 15, from 8:00-10:00 p.m. Viewers can enjoy newly reimagined performances of fan favorites in this new special filmed at the Morris. This one-of-a-kind interactive concert experience showcases the group's sparkling pure voices and fairytale charms. Viewers will also get to see behind the scenes as preparations were made for the 2013 concert.

Filming for the new DVD took place during the Celtic Woman "Believe" show held at the Morris on Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Dramatic lighting was used in the theater which showcased the beautiful architecture highlights of the historic venue. Audience members were treated to some delightful encore musical and dance performances as the producers filmed some "retakes" for the DVD. Patrons who attended the show at the Morris will want to watch the WNIT specials to see themselves as part of the audience clapping, dancing, and giving standing ovations for the performers.

Opening in 1922, the Morris Performing Arts Center is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and underwent a major renovation in 2000. The center hosts a variety of concerts, in addition to serving as the home to the South Bend Symphony Orchestra and the Broadway Theatre League.
