The Palladium at St. Petersburg College presents Nate Najar's Jazz Holiday with special guest vocalist ShaRon Scott, on Saturday, December 15, 8 p.m. Buy tickets: $35 and $25 reserved, $26, $35.

Leading an all-star band, consummate guitarist Nate Najar returns with an all-new holiday music show. This year's band features national jazz artists - Ken Peplowski (clarinet and saxophone) and Chuck Redd (vibes) - plus the legendary John Lamb (bass), local favorite Stephen Bucholtz (drums), and a special guest vocalist. Special guest vocalist ShaRon Scott joins the festivities.

Nate and the band will be doing a portion of Duke Ellington's Jazz Nutcracker along with holidays favorites. This determined music raconteur with an old soul is singlehandedly reintroducing the finger-style nylon string classical guitar technique to a new generation of music lovers. Channeling the essence of Charlie Byrd, Najar's expressive blend of phrasing, groove and rhythmic refrain delivers compositions informed with his passion for all music, from traditional jazz, to blues, gospel, and sizzling Brazilian beats.
