Mountain Sun Pub and Brewery and Z2 Entertainment are proud to present Mountain Sun Funky Good Times at the Boulder Theater on Saturday, February 1st, 2014. Tickets are on sale now for $25 general admission.

In celebration of twenty years of business in Boulder, The Mountain Sun Pub & Brewery will be hosting a night of funk at the beautiful Boulder Theater to say thanks to the local community for all of their support. The Mountain Sun opened their fourth location last year, Under the Sun, in South Boulder; adding to their two Boulder and one Denver location The Mountain Sun, Southern Sun and Vine Street Pubs and Breweries. Since The Mountain Sun Pub & Brewery opened its doors in 1993, The Pub has been a favorite local gathering place, where music has always played an important role in creating the Pub's festive vibe.

For the February 1st event, which will benefit KGNU 88.5 FM and KGNU 1390AM and be a Stout Month kick-off, The Pearl Street All-Stars will rock the house. The Pearl Street All-Stars is a once-in-a-lifetime collaboration featuring George Porter Jr. (The Funky Meters / Bass), Kyle Hollingsworth (The String Cheese Incident / Keyboards), Adam Smirnoff (Lettuce / Guitar), John Statton (Karl Denson's Tiny Universe / Drums) & Art Edmaiston (Mofro/ Saxophone), Dennis Marion (Mofro/ Trumpet) and Kim Dawson (Motet/ Vocals) All proceeds will benefit KGNU 88.5 FM & 1390 AM, Boulder County's only non-profit Community Radio Station. As usual Mountain Sun will supply some of their delicious beer for the event at only $4 a pint.

Opening the event this year will be up and coming funk groovsters from Denver, Liebermonster. They have been tearing it up throughout Colorado and have opened for the Pearl Street All-Stars in the past. With each show they have been gaining a strong fan base.
