Even the name Midas Whale suggests the fun audiences can expect from Jon Peter Lewis and Ryan Hayes, the folk duo known for turning the chairs of all four judges NBC's singing competition "The Voice."

When Lewis and Hayes met in 2013 and decided to blend their talents, they said they "might as well," which sounded a lot like Midas Whale-and a new act was born.

The popular singers will perform at the SCERA Center for the Arts (745 S. State St., Orem) for two performances, 7pm and 9pm. Tickets at $12 for adults and $10 for children 3-11 and seniors 65 and older are available at scera.org, by calling 801-225-ARTS or at the main office at SCERA between 10am-6pm weekdays and Saturdays from 12Noon-6pm. All seats are reserved.

Lewis and Ryan selected to train vocally with Adam Levine on "The Voice," the Levine said, "You guys are one of the more charming, talented duos I have ever seen perform. That's the truth."

The show's judges and fans applauded their superb harmonies, infectious energy and quirky vibe influenced by Simon and Garfunkel, the Everly Brothers and Van Morrison.

Midas Whale released an album of original songs in 2014 that featured "rough and dirty" sounds of western music blended with bright harmonies of folk. Hayes and Lewis also have a loyal YouTube following and penned the rock opera, "Deep Love, a stage show with 23 original songs. It has done well, selling out in theaters throughout the West and recently performing in New York City.
