Met Room Joins Hot House Jazz for FANS DECISION 2015: JAZZ AWARDS Night Tonight

Hot House (New York's premier jazz guide since 1982) and the Metropolitan Room (voted New York's #1 Jazz Venue) are joining forces to honor producer/director Jack Kleinsinger and recognize NYC'S favorite jazz artists. Together, Hot House and the Metropolitan Room are asking jazz fans to nominate and vote for their favorite NYC's artists. The categories cover a wide array of styles: male vocalist, female vocalist, best ensemble, best new artist, and many more.

Jack Kleinsinger has produced and directed Highlights in Jazz, New York City's longest-running jazz concert series. He'll be honored for 43 years of service to build and maintain NYC's vital jazz scene. This former Assistant Attorney General has designed each of the programs and was solely responsible for the smooth operation of this legendary concert series.

Kleinsinger's series has hosted artists such as Dave Brubeck, Christian McBride, Freddy Cole, Cyrus Chestnut, Jay Leonhart, Bucky Pizzarelli, Dick Hyman, Bobby Sanabria, Steve Turre, Sonny Fortune, David "Fathead" Newman, Ken Peplowski, Dave Valentin, Lewis Nash, and many others.

The 3rd annual "Fans Decision Jazz Awards Night" will be hosted by singer, musician, and performer, Antoinette Montague. Montague has worked extensively in the New York area throughout the past decade with such musicians as Bill Easley, Norman Simmons, Winard Harper, Wycliffe Gordon, Frank Wess, the Duke Ellington Orchestra and Mike Longo's New York State of the Arts Orchestra.
