Country music legend Lyle Lovett and His Large Band will perform at Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center on Sunday, August 24 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $125, $150, $200 and are available online at www.whbpac.org.

With his distinctive voice and his wry sense of humor, Lyle Lovett is one of the all-time great American singer/songwriters. Finely wrought and full of wit, wisdom and Texas-sized storytelling, this Grammy winner's finely crafted works are rife with characters and concepts that loom large on the American landscape. Lovett defies conventional genres fusing elements of country, swing, folk, gospel and blues.

Since his self-titled debut in 1986, Lyle Lovett has evolved into one of music's most vibrant and iconic performers. His work, rich and eclectic, is one of the most beloved of any living artist working today. His music has become synonymous with the artist, as evidenced by such songs as "If I Had a Boat," "Nobody Knows Me," "She's No Lady," and "That's Right (You're Not From Texas)."

Lovett's latest album Release Me was #1 for several weeks on the Americana charts. The album is quintessential Lyle, mixing a smart collection of originals and songs written by some of his favorite songwriters that show not only the breadth of this Texas legend's deep talents, but also the diversity of his influences.

Performing hits along with new music from his latest album, Release Me, he continues to give us a unique perspective on life with his fresh songs, hot country beats, and tender ballads.
