OKLAHOMA CITY -- Lucinda Williams will play a special performance benefitting Historic Film Row from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7 at The Paramount Room, 701 W. Sheridan Ave.

Lucinda Williams is an American rock, folk, blues, and country music singer and songwriter from Los Angeles, California who was named "America's best songwriter" by Time magazine in 2002. She was recently nominated by the Americana Music Association for Artist of the Year and her new album, The Ghosts of Highway 20, was nominated for Album of the Year.

Tickets for the all-ages show are $200, available online at Eventbrite. Proceeds benefit Historic Film Row, a 501(c)3 nonprofit. Seating is limited to 200.

Williams is featured in the documentary feature film Two Trains Runnin', selected to screen at deadCenter Film Festival at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday June 9 (opening night for the festival) at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, 415 Couch Drive.

Directed by Sam Pollard and written by Benjamin Hedin, the film - which also stars Gary Clark Jr., Buddy Guy and Chris Thomas King - tells the story of the search for two forgotten blues singers, set in Mississippi during the height of the civil rights movement. Two Trains Runnin' is an electrifying look at how a quest to rescue blues performers and preserve their music crashed head on with the violent race riots in Mississippi during Freedom Summer. Running time: 79 min. Producers: Common, Benjamin Hedin and Dava Whisenant.

"Lucinda Williams is a true master, her music a meeting ground for poetry, the blues, and ghosts of Americana," Hedin said. "Her songs reflect a range of influences, from rock to country, but she cut her teeth on the blues. It is the one thread that runs throughout her career and made her a natural fit for a movie like Two Trains Runnin'. Normally she tours big halls with her band, the June 7 benefit show for Film Row is a unique opportunity to see her up close and in her native element."

Attendees at the benefit concert will get a sneak peek of select scenes from the film and participate in a Q&A session with Williams.
