Tomorrow, on Tuesday December 1, artists The Decemberists, X Ambassadors, and BØRNS will join a stellar, cross-genre lineup of 30+ bands performing from their beds as a show of solidarity with thousands of sick kids who will spend the holiday season in hospital beds. Performances from this unique setting, Bedstock, will be released at 11am ET at bedstockfest.com. The festival's goal is to raise funds and awareness for MyMusicRx,the flagship program of the Children's Cancer Association. MyMusicRx's free-of-charge programs deliver the healing power of music to kids and teens fighting cancer and other serious illnesses.

Bedstock 2015 will coincide with Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving back after the mass consumption of Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday. The festival's main partner Converse will match the first $10,000 of donations raised and participating artists will invite their fans to join them in supporting MyMusicRx using #Bedstock and #MusicHeals.

Bedstock's lineup includes: Dillon Francis, Jim James, The Decemberists, X Ambassadors, Sevyn Streeter, Katy Tiz, BØRNS, Priory, Lucius, Skylar Stecker, Francesco Yates, and many more, with surprise performances to be announced. A new Bedstock Writers Stage features authors like Cheryl Strayed, Chelsea Cain, Jon Klassen, Carson Ellis, and Mac Barnett reading beloved children's books from bed.

"At CCA we are proud to have pioneered pediatric music medicine 20 years ago," explains Regina Ellis, Founder and CEO of the Children's Cancer Association (CCA). "Bedstock is a perfect expression of our passionate belief that joy matters and music heals. It's a playful yet incredibly powerful way for artists and their fans to join us in making a difference in the lives of hospitalized children across the country."

"The Decemberists are long-time supporters of MyMusicRx and are proud to be participating in Bedstock this year," says Chris Funk of The Decemberists and a CCA board member. "When I talk to bands about getting involved with MyMusicRx they instantly connect with the mission. They know how important music is to their own wellbeing and how positive a force it can be for a child stuck in a hospital bed for days and weeks at a time."

Bedstock is developed and produced for MyMusicRx as a pro-bono campaign by the New York creative team at Anomaly, a multidisciplinary new-model agency. MyMusicRx's long-time brand partners include Converse along with The FADER and Cornerstone Agency, who are helping to book talent for the festival. Additional partners are Nike, Atlantic Records, Columbia Records, Stumptown Coffee Roasters, Ace Hotel, Pandora, Billboard, and CharityBuzz.

In 2014, 22 artists including Passion Pit, Mark Foster, Chromeo, JoJo, and Madison Beer participated in Bedstock's inaugural year. The festival raised thousands of dollars and generated millions of impressions for MyMusicRx. It was nominated for a prestigious Webby Award in the Websites-Events category (the only non-profit nominated in this category), and was shortlisted for two Cannes Cyber Lions.

About MyMusicRx

The Children's Cancer Association believes Joy Matters and Music Heals. Twenty years ago we pioneered a one-of-a-kind pediatric "music medicine" program called MyMusicRx that lets kids choose the music experience that feels right to them. The in-hospital MyMusicRx program includes bedside sing-a-longs led by trained music specialists, instrument and iPad lending from mobile music carts, and live concerts from national recording artists. MyMusicRx.org extends our bedside experience online and invites kids facing cancer and other serious illnesses to feel the music and feel better, by exploring exclusive artist greetings, concerts, music lessons, digital instruments, and games - anytime, anywhere. About Children's Cancer Association (CCA)

We Prescribe Joy. For children diagnosed with serious illness and their families, every moment is precious. At CCA, our goal is to transform as many of those moments as possible - with joy. The Children's Cancer Association didn't start with a foundation it started with a family. One who faced its own battle with serious pediatric illness two decades ago in Portland, Oregon. From that experience came a passionate commitment and focus: to deliver the healing power of music, friendship, play, and resources to families facing the same challenges. Unlike many organizations dedicated to the worthy goal of someday finding a cure for cancer, CCA is all about creating joy today. See CCA programs in action here and visit us at www.JoyRx.org.
