THE PICKUP celebrates Fourth of July with special, patriotic episode. Lucy Angel and Jeff Bates helped a local Vietnam and Desert Storm Veteran by restoring a home through the fundraising campaign Heroes at Home. Bates shared his thoughts on being able to help those who gave so much with "The Pickup."

Craig Campbell will be singing at the 41st Annual Macy's Fireworks and talks with "The Pickup" about the bucket-list opportunity.

Just in time for America's birthday, the Lee GreenwoodCollection is available at Kirkland's Hobby Lobby and other select retailers. The collection features lyrics from his iconic "God Bless the U.S.A."

"Ragged Old Flag," a poem recorded over four decades ago by Johnny Cash, has been re-recorded by Charlie Daniels.The proud, patriotic single will be available on iTunes none other than July 4.

Speaking of pride, country music legend Charley Pride will be honored by the Recording Academy with a GRAMMY Salute to Legends television special. The live tribute special will be filmed in New York City on July 11, and will air as part of "Great Performances" on PBS. Stay tuned for the next episode of "The Pickup" where Pride discusses his new album Music In My Heart.

Kenny Rogers set the tone at The Nation We Build Together, an interactive exhibit, opening gala at The Smithsonian. He performed his song "Merica" in front of the gallery that houses the flag that inspired our national anthem and was honored by The Smithsonian for his "unique contribution to American music."

The newest edition of the Pickup and Coming features new artist Alan Turner and takes a look at his single "Windows and Mirrors," written by Cole Swindell. Turner stopped by "The Pickup" headquarters and shared the origin of his country roots.

Brad Paisley shared a few words about his friend Little Jimmy Dickens before unveiling a new, scaled-to-size statue of the icon at the historic Ryman Auditorium. "The Pickup" was on hand to catch it all.

Next, Ricky Skaggs had the honor of unveiling a statue of someone that he has idolized since childhood, Bill Monroe. Skaggs speaks with "The Pickup" about how he started listening to Monroe's music.

American pride and country music goes hand-in-hand, but few artists have the flag on their microphone stand like Colt Ford. Ford sat down with "The Pickup" to discuss the real reason that the stars and stripes go everywhere on the road with him.
