LOST SONGS (UK) VOLUME 2 Album Released

Following on from the success of Lost Songs (UK) Volume 1, we are delighted to announce the release of a second album to shine a light on wonderful new songs which otherwise would be "lost" - Lost Songs Volume 2.

Lost Songs thus provides the opportunity for selected unpublished music to be recorded, mixed, and mastered in the world famous metropolis studios in west London by leading engineers, record producers and session musicians.

It is the brainchild of songwriter, and music philanthropist Alun Davies, aka Adman. His love of music stems from an early age, and he balanced his love of performing music alongside setting up his own successful business, which he sold on twenty years later in order to focus full time on his passion.

The first album, released in august 2016, generated a notable amount of media attention - which in turn led to an 800% increase in the number of submissions for lost songs (UK) Volume 2. With a much bigger pool of entries to choose from, Adman, with the help of Metropolis Studios' A&R team, has selected the best 16 melodies, which in their opinion merited the chance to gain wider attention.

Songwriters included on Lost Songs Volume 2 come from diverse backgrounds, and from as far and wide as Essex, Nigeria, South Africa and Salford.

The results of the Lost Songs project can only breed further success. As more and more songwriters bite at a chance many thought may have slipped them by, and as songs which may have been written many years ago once again see the light of day, it means the albums emanating from the project grow in quality. As Adman explains:

"In Lost Songs we are emphasising a reality, namely that all popular music started with the same thing - a song. Many thousands are written but the number of successful songs can be measured in single figures.

"We are aiming to make a difference in that regard by giving an opportunity to songs that for one reason or another never gained a hold in the market place. Who knows where these songs may yet be heard?

"LS1 was the beginning - the growth rate to LS2 has been pretty incredible. We wish to unearth further great songs and great songwriters and our hope is that where possible we are kick starting successful careers in the music industry."
