Today, November 21, Lissie will kick off a North American tour at Adelaide Hall in Toronto. The headline run will include a show at Webster Hall in New York City (November 25) and an evening at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles (December 9). Kopecky Family Band and Purple Apple will be supporting as noted on the itinerary below.

Lissie, who will also perform at the Austin City Limits Festival, is touring in support of her forthcoming album,Back to Forever, which Fat Possum Records will release in the U.S. on October 8. She will guest on KCRW's "Morning Becomes Eclectic" on Monday, October 7.

She will give the album's first single, "Further Away (Romance Police)," its U.S. television debut on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on Wednesday, October 9. Lissie shot the accompanying video in her hometown of Rock Island, IL. It can be viewed here.

"Further Away (Romance Police)" - which MOJO called"brilliant" - was a Top 20 hit in the UK, where BBC Radio 2 put it on the "A List" and named it "Record of the Week." Lissie will appear on U.K. television ("BBC Breakfast") and radio ("The Saturday Sessions: The Dermot O'Leary Show") in October.

Back to Forever, produced by Garret "Jacknife" Lee (R.E.M., Snow Patrol, Silversun Pickups), is every bit as frank as 2010's Catching A Tiger, but reflects an added objectivity and depth. In short, the Quad City native has grown into the Mezcal-and-cigarettes voice that that was so riveting on her debut album, which has sold more than 250,000 copies worldwide, been certified Gold in the UK and Norway and brought her a host of accolades, with Paste Magazine naming her Best New Solo Artist, VH1 tapping her as a "You Oughta Know" artist and a QAwards nomination for Best Breakthrough Artist.

Paste Magazine placed Back to Forever on its list of "20 Fall Albums We're Looking Forward To," noting: "After three long years, we can't wait to hear what the singer/songwriter will deliver this time around." "Plush and forceful," is how Uncut described the album, praising Lissie's "rugged individuality" while Harper's Bazaar (UK)confessed: "Lissie is our new girl crush!""Californian belter Lissie is every inch the old-school rock 'n' roll star," observed London's Daily Star. "It's an attitude that screams out from her classic songs too." Clash (UK), in a two-page feature on Lissie, called Back to Forever "an album that evolves the country-rock aura of 'Catching A Tiger' into a more intrepid, LA-pop realm - think prime-era Stevie Nicks rocking a Fender and you're halfway there."

Back to Forever was recorded late last year at The Garage in Topanga Canyon, Seahorse Sound Studios in downtown Los Angeles and Brotheryn Studios in Ojai, California. Special guests Catherine and Allison Pierce of The Pierces and Barbara Gruska (The Belle Brigade) are featured on backing vocals.

Lissie grew up in Rock Island, Illinois, near the Mississippi River, speaking her mind and writing songs from an early age. Her five-song EP, Why You Runnin', produced by Bill Reynolds of Band of Horses, was ranked among the Eight Most Auspicious Musical Debuts of 2009 by Paste. Her full-length debut, Catching A Tiger, which was co-produced by Reynolds and Jacquire King (Kings of Leon), was released in 2010. Scads of festival performances (including Bonnaroo, Coachella, Lollapalooza, Glastonbury and iTunes Festival), television appearances and film/TV song placements followed. Along the way, Lissie also released a live CD/DVD of her sold-out show at London's Shepherd's Bush, racked up more than five million cumulative views for her live videos of songs like Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance," Kid Cudi's "Pursuit Of Happiness" and Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" - songs that appear on her five-song 2011 EP Covered Up With Flowers - and set the wheels in motion for her own special edition Metl Mezcal.
