Fresh from releasing their debut EP - Nocturnes, collecting a swag of nominations at the SA Music Awards and returning home from a successful Australian tour, Adelaide noir alt-rock outfit Koral & The Goodbye Horses announce another national tour starting in Adelaide then hitting Melbourne and Sydney.

Playing with K&GBH for two of the three dates is Melbourne's Howl at the Moon whose debut album Squalls was released to wide critical acclaim in 2012. They are set to release the follow up with the first single Russian Thistle out now.

Nocturnes, the debut EP from Koral & The Goodbye Horses was released mid-2015. Since then it has gone be nominated for four awards at the SA Music Awards, received national airplay and critical acclaim.

Throughout the record, Koral's haunting vocals shift between twisted lullaby to world-weary rage, with spacious guitars and driving drumbeats providing an atmospheric backdrop. It's grown up rock that's raw, honest and a little screwed up.

Koral & The Goodbye Horses

After a youth spent listening to the crackling fuzz of Australian AM radio, her mother's car was Koral's first musical education: Gershwin, Elvis, The Beatles, Mama Cass and The Shirelles rang out on the long drives across the country. From a young age, music lessons were a disaster. Piano, recorder, flute and violin all falling away when her teachers caught on that she was cheating at her theory practice and only playing by ear.

Equally influential is Koral's band. Just as Nick Cave has his Bad Seeds, Koral has her Goodbye Horses - Sam Knight (drums), Aaron Nash (keys), Emily Retsas (bass) and now Django Rowe (guitar) - all of whom thrive on Koral's signature sound.
