NYU Skirball Center is proud to partner with Kidrockers to present a series of authentic rock shows for families as part of the Big Red Chair series. One of New York's fastest rising bands, Caveman, with recently formed pizza-themed Velvet Underground tribute band, The Pizza Underground (Macaulay Culkin + friends) will begin the series tonight, February 8. Comedians Seth Herzog ("Late Night with Jimmy Fallon") and Craig Baldo ("Last Comic Standing") host the event at NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts (566 LaGuardia Place, corner of LaGuardia Place and Washington Square South at the base of NYU's KimMel Center for University Life).

The performance begins at 11:30AM and there will be educational music activity in the lobby of the venue beginning at 10:30AM. The event is welcome to all ages and recommended for ages 3-13. Adults must be accompanied by a child. Tickets are available for $28 at www.NYUSkirball.org.

Kids and their parents will be given the unique opportunity to experience an authentic, awesome and "of the moment" rock show in the comfort of a world class performing arts center in the heart of Greenwich Village.

"We love to hear great new music -- and so do our kids." says Kidrockers founder Beth Lorge. "We want to create an opportunity for kids and parents to discover artists and get to see them play live in a fun, safe and comfortable environment."

Caveman has become synonymous with New York. The band's song "My Time" has been a long-running theme of New York State's "I Love New York" TV and taxi campaign. Guitarist Jimmy "Cobra" Carbonetti custom makes the band's (and lots of other bands') guitars at his shop on East 3rd Street. Raised in NYC, the band has been selling out local venues like Webster Hall and the Bowery Ballroom for the last few years.

The Pizza Underground finally gets around to doing what we've all been thinking about for years: rewriting Velvet Underground songs to be about pizza. Band-members Matt Colbourn, Deenah Vollmer, Austin Kilham, Phoebe Kreutz and Macaulay Culkin will burn your mouth with low-fi hits like "All the "All the Pizza Parties" (All Tomorrow's Parties), "Pizza, It Hurts" (Venus in Furs), and "Take a Bite of the Wild Slice" (Walk on the Wild Side"). The band's "Fresh to Your Door Tour" starts making deliveries to the U.S. in March.

Seth Herzog is currently the warm-up comic for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and also appears in sketches on the show. His long running weekly show "Sweet" is a staple of the downtown alternative comedy scene. Seth appears regularly on VH1's "Best Week Ever" and "All Access". He's been on Comedy Central's Chapelle's Show and Stella, CBS' Love Monkey, E!s #1 Single. Seth has also been in the films "Role Models," "Prime," "The Ten," "The Baxter," and "Safe Men."

Craig Baldo performs at colleges and clubs throughout North America and has appeared on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Last Comic Standing (finalist season 1), Comedy Central's Premium Blend, NBC's Late Friday, VH1 and Showtime.
