Kenny Loggins' remarkable four-decade-plus career has brought him from the top of the charts to the roster of the Grammys. He's had smash hits on Hollywood's favorite movie soundtracks, rocked worldwide stages, and found his way into children's hearts while bringing his soulful, beautiful voice to Platinum albums representing a stunning variety of genres. Kenny Loggins's gift for crafting deeply emotional music is unparalleled, and it's been a part of his life as long as he can remember. Legendary Grammy Award-winner singer/songwriter guitarist Kenny Loggins of "What A Fool Believes" fame is coming to The Ridgefield Playhouse on Wednesday, August 13, at 8 p.m. Loggins was originally part of the duo Loggins and Messina but went on to become a solo performer and a songwriter for other recording artists. He released hits such as "I Believe in Love" and "Whenever I Call You Friend". >From his days with Jim Messina to his illustrious solo career, Kenny Loggins' songs have become classics. Special guest is Christopher Robin Band, whose music is influenced by southern rock and blues. Robin has recorded and performed alongside B.B. King, Robert Cray, Jessi Colter, Charlie Daniels and Peter Frampton. Kenny Loggins won his second Grammy Award in 1980 for Best Male Pop Vocal for "This Is It" and is the "reigning king of the soundtrack" thanks to giant hits like "I'm Alright" from the film Caddyshack, "Footloose" from Footloose, "Danger Zone" from Top Gun, and "Nobody's Fool" from Caddyshack II. He's also had 12 of his albums go Platinum, including Celebrate Me Home, Nightwatch and Keep The Fire. In 1979, he won a Grammy Award for Song of the Year -- "What a Fool Believes" -- co-written with Michael McDonald.

Loggins wrote the perfect tune with his friend, Melissa Manchester -- "Whenever I Call You Friend" on his 1978 LP Nightwatch, a shining example of his songwriting prowess and the song which he credits as "the moment that launched my solo career". Most recently, Kenny Loggins joined the country music trio Blue Sky Riders, who released their first album a year and a half ago. He has been nominated for an Oscar, a Golden Globe, two Grammys, and a Daytime Emmy Award. Loggins has earned a Hollywood Film Award, a star on the Walk of Fame and a Daytime Emmy Award, among others.
