Music superstar and AMERICAN IDOL champ Kelly Clarkson discusses her new holiday-themed album WRAPPED IN RED as well as performs the lead single from the spectacular release as part of an appearance on TODAY.

Clarkson comments of the wide range of styles covered on the impressive collection of Christmas tunes, out now, "I think that's what's cool about the Christmas record - I didn't have to pick."

Case in point: "You're all that I need / Underneath the tree," Clarkson enthusiastically sings in the sugary Phil Spector-esque throwback jaunt of jubilation, one of many memorable original songs on the album.

Kelly Clarkson's WRAPPED IN RED is a sonorous celebration of Christmas complete with many holiday hallmarks such as "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas", "Blue Christmas", Frank Loesser's "Baby, It's Cold Outside" and THE SOUND OF MUSIC's "My Favorite Things" in addition to original tunes like the title track, this single and "4 Carats", as well as a trio rendition of "Silent Night" with Reba McEntire and Trisha Yearwood.
