Variety reports that Keira Knightley, who recently made her Broadway debut in an adaptation of THERESE RAQUIN opposite Judith Light, has signed on to New Line's ensemble drama COLLATERAL BEAUTY. The actress joins previously announced cast members Will Smith, Helen Mirren, Edward Norton, Naomie Harris and Michael Pena.

David Frankel will helm the film, which is being co-financed by Village Roadshow. Anthony Bregman, Bard Dorros, Allan Loeb, Michael Sugar and PalmStar CEO Kevin Frakes will produce. Filming is scheduled to get underway next month in New York.

According to the site, Smith will portray "a successful New York advertising executive who experiences a personal tragedy and retreats from life entirely, prompting his colleagues to devise a drastic plan to help him recover." The film is scheduled to hit theaters on Dec. 16, 2017.

Knightley was most recently seen on the big screen in EVEREST.
