KANISHA K Releases New Single 'Bring Me Home' to Radio
Fresh from her first Hollywood Music in Media Award (HMMA) nomination (Best Pop Song) for her breakout hit "My Another Day," Kanisha K's (www.kanishakmusic.com) new single "Bring Me Home" is impacting Adult Contemporary radio on FMQB June 2 - a week prior to its planned major market push on Mediabase and Billboard.
According to the All Access Music Downloads System (AADL), as of May 25, Kanisha's latest song sits atop the #1 Most Streamed Tracks chart and is the #2 Top Downloaded track in the Hot, Modern and AC genres.
"Bring Me Home" was produced by veteran producer and artist Larry King (Soleil Moon, lead vocalist in the Michael Thompson Band & Larry King Orchestra). The track features some of Chicago's top musicians, including John Blasucci on keyboards, Khari Parker on drums, Lamar Jones on bass and guitarist Chris Siebold.
The fast rising Holland, Mich.-based singer will be performing in her hometownJune 20 at 8 p.m. at the Holland Park Theatre.
Kanisha recently did an interview with on air personality John Sinkevics on hisWJRW (1340 AM) radio show "Local Spins." "My Another Day," which was a Top 40 hit on the Mediabase A/C chart, was conceived as a healing post-breakup song but adopted by many fans as an anthem about overcoming addiction. It's the follow-up to her first Top Ten single, "I Found Love (Just In Time For Christmas)."
The infectious track, which reached #5 on the FMQB AC40 Chart alongside superstars like Pharrell Williams, Daughtry, One Direction, Imagine Dragons, Katy Perry and Lorde, also received a nod in the Best Pop Song category in theApril 2014 Music Genre nominations.
