Julian Ovenden to Play JFK on SMASH Season 2!

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, West End star Julian Ovenden will guest star in the second season of SMASH, and according to TVLine, he will play another one of Marilyn's love interests. Ovenden's character 'Simon' will play JFK to Karen's Marilyn Monroe.

His stage credits include West End productions of Merrily We Roll Along, Grand Hotel, and Marguerite. He most recently starred in Roundabout's Off-Broadway production of Death Takes a Holiday. He also starred in Broadway's Butley in 2006.

"Smash" returns to the NBC lineup for a second season on Tuesday, February 5 (9-10 p.m. ET) and will continue in its new regular time slot on Tuesday, February 12 (10-11 p.m. ET). Notable guest stars that have been announced for the show's next season, include Liza Minnelli, Bernadette Peters, Jennifer Hudson, Jesse L. Martin and Sean Hayes.
