Earlier this week, Earlier this week, BWW reported that the members of music's most successful boy band, 'N Sync may be heading for a reunion on the VMA stage when the show airs live Sunday night from Brooklyn's Barclays Center. The appearance would mark the first time the group will perform together since they disbanded in the early 2000's.

The New York Post is citing an unnamed source which claims the five members of the band will come together to show their support for Timberlake, who will receive the prestigious Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, for his "pioneering and innovative impact" on music videos.

However, upon touching down at NYC's JFK airport this morning, the former band member insisted that his arrival in New York was for personal reasons. "I'm actually going to be going to Staten Island. My cousin is turning 40, which I shouldn't say. Surprise 40th on Saturday. So I'm going to be going to her birthday party."

He went on to maintain, "Why the hell would I attend? I mean, for Justin obviously, he's getting the Vanguard Award, which is cool. We heard about that, and that's when the rumors started flying about doing all this stuff... As far as I know. I haven't gotten a phone call or anything. Just like his wedding. I didn't get the phone call or the invite."

Stay tuned to see if Fatone's story has some 'Strings Attached!'
