What happens when two downtown divas pair up for one night of magic? A double bill of epic old-timey proportions. This 1940's themed cabaret/radio show is presented by Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette NYC, NY 10003) on Sunday, May 27th at 7pm. Tickets ($15) are available online (www.joespub.com) and at the door.

Act One: The Hazard Gunpowder Melody Magazine by Molly Pope

Molly Pope, the new-old-school-diva, throws back to the golden days of radio with The Hazard Gunpowder Melody Magazine, a half hour of pre-WWII songs, skits and scandal. Named a Village Voice "Best of NYC 2011" for Best Singer To Turn Life Into A Cabaret. Expect the inevitable surprise guest, witty banter and excessive product placement of classic radio shows like The Kraft Music Hall and The Bell Telephone Hour.
