Joe Marcinek Band (JMB) has announced a three-night run of shows this January with very special guest Joey Porter (The Motet, Juno What). They will be playing at the Wire in Berwyn, IL on Thursday, January 16th, in Valparaiso, IN at Franklin House Friday, January 17th and in Crystal Lake, IL at Duke's Alehouse on Saturday, January 18th.

Colorado's Joey Porter has gained the reputation for being one of the funkiest keyboardists on the scene today. Utilizing vintage keyboards, Joey has developed his own unique and soulful sound. He has gained notoriety of late by touring the country with The Motet and his own electro-funk band Juno What?!.

"It's going to be funky," says Marcinek, "we went all out on the last run and wanted to do something more close to home this time. Brining on an amazing keyboardist like Joey Porter will put the emphasis on funk; plus I'm bringing local trumpet star Victor Garcia for the January 16th show at the Wire."

The Chris Greene Quartet and Brown Bag will open up in Berwyn, IL. Also joining JMB for all three nights are Janis Wallin (Family Groove Company) on bass and Peter Koopmans (FGC) on drums.
