Hailed worldwide as one of the greatest guitar players of his generation, Joe Bonamassa has almost single-handedly redefined the blues-rock genre and brought it into the mainstream. He will return to the Fox Theatre, after wildly popular performances in 2011 and 2013, on Saturday, April 18 at 8 p.m.
Tickets ($82.50, $92.50, $102.50 and $128.50) go on sale Friday, September 26 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at OlympiaEntertainment.com, The Fox Theatre and Joe Louis Arena box offices, Hockeytown Authentics in Troy (without service charge) at all Ticketmaster locations and Ticketmaster.com. To charge tickets by phone, call (800) 745-3000. For additional information, call (313) 471-6611. This one-night-only engagement is in support of his brand new studio album Different Shades Of Blue (J&R Adventures), which is Bonamassa's first solo studio album in two years and the first of his career to feature all original material. He wrote it in Nashville with Jonathan Cain (Journey), James House (Diamond Rio, Dwight Yoakam, Martina McBride), and Jerry Flowers (Keith Urban). The result is a record with more of an experimental edge than previous Bonamassa records. It's a blues record that explores the outer reaches and the many different sounds that shape the genre.Videos
