Legendary artist Joan Baez will take to the road in the U.S. in June, including ten co-headlining shows with Indigo Girls. The joint performances, including dates at Ravinia, Summerstage and Tanglewood, will feature material spanning both artists' vast catalogs. (See below for complete tour details.)

It is no exaggeration to report that Joan Baez has been as busy as ever in the five years since she celebrated the joyful landmark years of 2008-2009, the 50th anniversaries of her legendary residency in 1958 at the famed Club 47 in Cambridge, and her subsequent debut at the 1959 Newport Folk Festival. Since the release of her Grammy-nominated and most recent album, Day After Tomorrow (September 2008), recorded in Nashville and produced by Steve Earle, she has done multiple tours of the U.S. and Europe and, in addition to her 2013 U.S. dates, she will return to Australia and New Zealand in August for the first time in decades.

Additionally, in 2008, the PBS American Masters series premiered her life story, Joan Baez: How Sweet The Sound. Moreover, in 2011, the National Recording Academy inducted Joan's 1960 debut LP on Vanguard Records into the Grammy Hall Of Fame and, at Amnesty International's 50th Anniversary Annual General Meeting in San Francisco, the organization bestowed on her the inaugural Joan Baez Award for Outstanding Inspirational Service in the Global Fight for Human Rights.
