Born in Chicago, bluesman Ronnie Baker Brooks has been climbing the blues world's ladder all his life since starting to play guitar around age six. At 19, he joined his father Lonnie Brooks, who by then had influenced some of the most well-known bluesman of our history: Jimmy Reed, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Johnny Winter, and Junior Wells. For 12 years the two would tour together, putting Ronnie out front with Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, and koko Taylor. In 1998, when he was 32, his father told him to go solo. In the ten years since his first solo album, The Torch, Brooks has started a family, toured North America and Europe, and taken feature spots on the records of other bluesmen. He produced Eddy Clearwater's West Side Strut and contributed guitar work to albums from Elvin Bishop, the Legendary Rhythm & Blues Review, Billy Branch, and Big Head Todd. After a 10-year recording hiatus, Brooks released Times Have Changed, this past January.

Story Jam is an exciting music-lit show that features Chicago's top storytellers, original songs written for each story, and a ten-piece band. The personal stories represent a range of cultural, racial, and individual experiences; and the band is comprised of some of Chicago's best musicians. Stephanie Rogers is producer-songwriter. Tellers include Nestor Gomez, Archy Jamjun, Steve Glickman, Lynne Jordan, Anne Purky and Drew Love.

Rami Kleinstein, one of Israel's most renowned pop superstars, makes his City Winery Chicago debut as part of a Fall U.S. tour. This intimate concert will feature a selection of original songs from Kleinstein, whose albums have gone Gold and Triple Platinum. Frequently compared to Elton John and Billy Joel, Kleinstein is known for his beautiful love songs, soothing voice and delicate piano-playing. A native New Yorker, he cleverly weaves his songs together with rich anecdotes laced with a poignant, delicate humor that gives the audience insight into his life as well as tidbits of Israeli history.

Fleming is known for his own arrangements of Irish classics "Danny Boy," "Isle of Inisfree" and "Hard Times," while also covering songs including "You Raise Me Up," "Bridge over Troubled Waters," "From a Distance" and "Something Inside So Strong" along with more contemporary numbers. His unique talent has brought him worldwide recognition with several sell-out tours in Ireland, the UK, the U.S., Australia and Japan. Fleming has many times been described as the "Voice of Ireland" and is one of Ireland's top entertainers, with over 3 million album sales worldwide.

Actor, writer and musician Jeff Daniels has played more than 300 gigs over the past 12 years from Maine to Alaska and California. Most recently he has been seen as Will McAvoy on HBO's The Newsroom, and with Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber To. Currently, he's "drinking from the fountain of youth" by touring with his son's band, The Ben Daniels Band. When Ben Daniels decided he was going to be a musician, it was more than a career choice. A natural poet, this young songwriter went to school on Bob Dylan, Robert Johnson, and Jack White, among others. With Tommy Reifel on bass, George Merkel on guitar, Wesley Fritzemeier on drums and mandolin, and Daniels' wife, singer/songwriter Amanda Daniels on vocals, the Ben Daniels Band's live show never fails to take over the venue. With five CDs under its belt, the Ben Daniels Band has grown to be a formidable group that cuts through with its originality, musicianship, and a sound that spans Americana, Blues, Jazz, and Rock. Take Me to the River (2014) is an acclaimed documentary celebrating the inter-generational and inter-racial musical influence of Memphis in the face of pervasive discrimination and segregation. The film brings multiple generations of award-winning Memphis and Mississippi Delta musicians together, following them through the creative process of recording a historic new album, to re-imagine the utopia of racial, gender and generational collaboration of Memphis in its heyday. Several of the musicians featured in the documentary, including William Bell, Charlie Musselwhite and Bobby Rush, will perform classics featured in the documentary as well as new collaborations.
All City Winery events are open to all ages and start at 8 p.m., unless noted.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, July 7 at noon. Opened in 2012, City Winery Chicago is a fully operational winery, restaurant with outdoor patio, concert hall and private event space located in the heart of the West Loop at 1200 W. Randolph, in the historic urban Fulton Market district. Once a refrigerated food distribution warehouse, the 1911 building has been transformed into a contemporary 33,000 square foot haven for those passionate about wine, music and culinary arts.
